Frequently asked questions

What are the three batch sizes?

For 2 to 3 servings: 1⅔ cups lite strawberry daiquiri drink mix, 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons water, ¼ cup white rum, and 3 tablespoons liquid allulose. For 4 to 6 servings: 2¼ cups mix, 1⅔ cups water, ⅓ cup rum, and ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons allulose. For 6 to 8 servings: 3¼ cups mix, 2¼ cups water, ½ cup rum, and ½ cup allulose.

How long does it take to freeze?

This recipe does not carry a printed freeze time, so judge it by the machine: the batch is ready when the unit beeps three times at the right temperature. Chilled liquid gets there noticeably faster.

Why 6 bars on the temperature control?

Low sugar batches freeze softer than full sugar ones, so this recipe runs colder than the preset default to hold a proper slush texture. Six bars is the setting it is balanced for.

Why add allulose to a lite mix?

Even a lite mix needs a little extra dissolved sweetener solid to freeze soft instead of hard. Liquid allulose provides it without adding sugar back.
