Where the calories live

The piña colada mix brings the biggest share of the calories here, about 64 percent of the batch, with the light rum next in line.

About the alcohol

The pour is part of the flavor and part of the math: about 29 percent of the calories in every glass come from the alcohol itself.

Want a lighter scoop

A half serving with fresh fruit on the side keeps all the flavor and halves everything on this panel.

Texture tips

Frequently asked questions

How do I make it a mocktail?

Use water or extra pineapple juice for the pour in instead of the rum mixture. The frozen base stays the same.

What if I want it thinner?

Add 2 to 4 additional tablespoons of your pour in after processing, then select respin for a more sippable drink.

What if an icy wall builds up on the side?

Break up the sides with a spoon and select respin. The second pass folds the icy wall back into the drink.

How is this different from the Slushi piña colada?

That one freezes coconut rum, coconut milk, and juice together in the vessel. This pint version freezes a simple mix base and adds the rum at spin time, so the texture pours like a shaken colada.
